Alexandra Hotel

What a great hotel for the price! We booked a one night stay for just under £90 for two adults. We stayed on a lovely warm weekend and the area was packed. We parked outside the cinema which had a reasonable charge for the times we would be using it, and it was a 5 minute walk from there to the hotel. When we checked in we were told we had been upgraded as some of the rooms were available! The room was a sea view in the roof, the exposed wooden beams and sash windows were charming. the furnishings of the room were not extraordinary, but definitely not outdated, and the shower was spacious and comfortable, even including a stool. The kettle and tv were modern, and the tea and coffee selection in the room was far higher quality than i expected. We were pleasantly surprised by this, however we would have paid £40 more if we had booked this room from the start. We paid for a late check out the next day at a £20 charge and spent the evening out in weymouth, the location of the hotel is ideal and is a stones throw away from the beach, and several pubs and restaurants. In the morning we didn’t end up needing the late check out, and we cheekily mentioned this at the desk, they very very kindly refunded us the money for it and we were off on our way! Great value for money, the staff were incredible. Definitely feels like a family run business. Amazing location!

Just returned from a wonderfully relaxing mini break at the Alexandra Hotel. Great location, great room, lovely breakfast. The staff( Grace and Lorna) were amazing with nothing being too much trouble. We will certainly plan a return trip! It was great .Thank you.

We were warmly welcomed by the host and all staff provided an excellent service. Nothing was too much trouble.The place felt safe and friendly and it was a relaxed and homely atmosphere. The hotel was very clean and thoughtfully decorated. The continental breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The coffee was excellent. Location is perfect, right opposite the gardens and across the road from the beachfront. A 1 minute walk from the shops and harbour. We would love to come back!

Lovely place to stay for the weekend great place nice and clean right on the see front thank you to all the staff and one hotel with off road parking. That's a massive bonus..

Extremely friendly and helpful staff who really made our stay a delight. The hotel itself has spacious, well appointed rooms with a lot of character. Location is excellent, with good sea views and access to local amenities and the beach. Breakfast was reasonably priced and enjoyable.

We stayed at The Alexandra Hotel 04 July 25 for three nights & had an amazing time, we can not thank Lorna,Tom, Grace & the whole team for making this wonderful experience possible, we had two birthday celebrations & an anniversary to celebrate, I ask for both bedrooms to be decorated, along with hand made birthday cards & two small bottles of white wine on ice made this a memorable experience to remember. The breakfast was plenty full & nothing was too much to ask, the rooms were cleaned every day, politeness of everyone at this hotel gave this top marks Book through their website & if there is availability in the car park you can get your name put on a marking board for a parking spot. The sea is across the road & the beautiful views are stunning, the town is directly behind this hotel & everything you need is very close by. There is a large lounge to play board games or even read a book quietly if you want, we donated a set of playing cards & a set of dominoes for everyone to enjoy whenever you want. We will definitely return to this warm welcoming hotel in the very near future. Again, thanks to everyone associated with this hotel who made our long weekend away memorable. Best wishes Stu & Sue G

Very enjoyable stay at the Alexandra hotel in Weymouth staff were lovely, didn't catch the names but the young lady in the morning was fantastic with our soon to be six year old son. Chatting away with him . Rooms are spacious and cosy , lovely big shower , beds were clean and comfy ( even though I like a soft mattress) I slept well as it was quite. Great selection of teas and coffee plus drinking water. Breakfast is continental style with plenty of favourites to choose from . There is a chill out lounge plus separate bar all with books and traditional games. We enjoyed it so much we pre booked for next year summer and winter. Parking wasn't too bad as it was off season but there is a small parking lot out back. Beach was just over the road and everything else is a very short walk. All staff we met were great and made our stay very welcoming.

Although it is an old hotel, it is clean & very well maintained. The plus point Alexandra hotel is conveniently located a few metres from the beach and high street. The room we were in, room 21 has a good view of the pavilion and beach. The room itself being on the highest floor is rather pretty with wooden beams. The toilet is big and clean, the beds comfy. Tea and coffee facilities with coffee biscuits! totally exceeding my expectations.

What a beautiful little hotel! We had a wonderful stay, fantastic continental breakfast, friendly staff who can't do enough to help, lovely rooms and great location. Truly wonderful. My one and only issue was the poor quality coffees in the rooms but other than that perfect!
